Personal Training is Unique – Not a cookie cutter routine

There are a few things that get me a bit pissed off and one of them is when people think all personal trainers are the same but really who can blame them when there are trainers who lack education and who lack any sort of Board Certification for their personal training and who barf out workouts that are the same for every client for that day.

I see a lot of that and to be perfectly honest, it is just laziness.  There is no reason for it other than that trainer either doesn’t want to try or lacks the knowledge to do it properly.

A personal training workout should be unique to you.  Do you have bad knees?  Have you had back surgery? Are you 65 or even older? Are you training for a sport?

All of these examples of people are DIFFERENT!  So why would they have the same burpee-laden smoke session routine?  Personal training should involve taking your limitations and areas where you need improvement and working on those to improve those and to work on meeting your goals.  Goals for some people might mean weight loss but it might not for others so a burpee filled smoke session where you just burn a lot of calories isn’t going to do much for a lot of people other than make them sore and tired.

So whether you train with me or someone else, it doesn’t matter — make sure you are getting your money’s worth and getting a quality unique customized workout that is as unique as you are!
