REASONS TO WORKOUT SERIES FROM DOUGLASVILLE PERSONAL TRAINER DAVE HANSEY PART ONE
A HEALTHY HEART!
Exercise makes a huge impact on your health in so many ways so it is really not something you should ever skimp on. Not sure you are really that committed to working out every day? Well here are some heart healthy reasons that should make you realize there are so many other things in your day you should rework rather than skip that workout.
BLOOD PRESSURE – For many people, exercising can be as effective as prescriptions as lowering their BP by an average of 10 millimeters. Have your doctor check your blood pressure and be honest with him about your exercise habits (or lack thereof)
CHOLESTEROL BUILDUP – Moderate to vigorous exercise can boost HDL by 5 to 10% which can help filter away artery-clogging LDLs.
LOWER TRIGLYCERIDES – A study found that people who walked and then ate a fatty meal had 25% fewer triglycerides in their blood than those who just ate the fatty meal. Certainly, you should not be eating fatty meals but the power of exercise is obvious.
HEALTHY ARTERIES – Working out has been shown to help improve the elasticity of your arteries so they are less prone to hardening.
So, just in case you needed more reasons to work out, there are a few. For more, check back here for more of the REASONS TO WORKOUT Series from Douglasville Personal Trainer, Dave Hansey.
