Personal Training with Dave Hansey -- Douglasville's NASM Certified Personal Trainer Personal Training Douglasville - Personal Trainer Dave Hansey

Group Fitness Class – My Douglasville Class — Success

Well, my group fitness classes started today at the Chapel Hill Golds Gym here in Douglasville and it was lots of fun and a great class. This class is exclusive to my personal training clients. I really have never been a huge fan of group fitness classes for anything other than the rare cardio session. Mostly because there has never been a way to tailor them to individuals. Well by keeping it small and exclusive to my personal training clients I can really customize it and tailor it to the people who show up that particular day.

So I am very happy with how the first class turned out and thank you to everyone who got up nice and early to try it out. Next class is Saturday and I hope to see many of my personal training clients using this as an extra workout to get the motivation and workout that the need.

Group Fitness Classes Start Wednesday

I will be holding 2 free group fitness classes for people who are currently doing personal training.

NOTE – EXCLUSIVE TO PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENTS

Sorry — but if you are not doing personal training, I don’t know anything about you so you cannot attend. Don’t worry — there are lots of other group fitness classes you can attend — but this class will be the most effective if I can tailor it to the group rather than have to do a cookie cutter approach.

If you are interested — classes start Weds – just drop me an email or call me if you need more details!!!

Easy Weight Loss — Fact or Myth — The Reality from Douglasville Personal Trainer, Dave Hansey

Weight Loss is a challenge for anyone. There is no magic diet plan or potion or pill that will make it simple. I had a client recently tell me they were going on a new diet where they were not to work out. At first I thought I didn’t hear her properly since there are fistfuls of studies showing that working out helps weight loss and increases muscle mass so you are a more lean fit machine — not to mention all the health benefits.

So while I encourage people to try new things, when something sounds too good to be true — IT IS. Check with your doctor and see what he thinks about your new pill or whacky program where exercise is a no-no. I can almost hear him laughing right now.

Until then, accept that weight loss is an equation. You need to eat fewer calories and you need to burn more calories. The best way to do this is to eat a healthy diet full of real food that is fresh and not processed and to increase your activity to burn more calories. Now that is the simple plan — even if it requires more work, I think you will like the results ;)
