Wait — let me say it again —- WEIGHTS!!!

If you are not lifting weights (and I don’t mean light weights!!!! and I don’t mean a zillion reps) I mean lifting heavy weights, then you are not in the best shape you can be.

Studies show that 71% of women have some fear of heavy weights!! But heavy weights are the ONLY way to maintain bone density and get in fabulous shape!!

Caffeine — Easy Does It

Coffee is one of my favorite things in the WHOLE WORLD!! I love the taste, the feeling, the vibe……. but coffee, like all great vices, is best enjoyed in moderation. While that one great cup in the morning may be AWESOME, 3 cups may leave you shaking…..

So enjoy your java (or cola or tea) in moderation. And be aware that caffeine hides in many places (orange soda, mountain dew, some candy, some cough medicine)

My Favorite Smoothie

Ok — here is a recipe for a great smoothie…..

Crush 16 ice cubes and add 15 oz crushed pineapple with juice in blender

Pour a tsp of fresh lemon and add some diet 7 up (2 cups)

makes 2 servings — YUMMY

Vacation — TAKE THEM

For true wellness, you should take your vacation. According to a study published in the Wisconsin Medical Journal, women who vacationed only once in two years were more likely to be depressed and suffer marital disatisfaction than those who took vacations twice or more a year.

NO TIME? At least try getting away for a weekend…… your health will thank you
