Drinking — A better way

Is there a healthy cocktail? Not really. Cocktails should be consumed in moderation. Some ideas for keeping the calories under control — choose beer or wine (watch the portion)

Watch the “sugar drinks” like daiquiris and margaritas — depending on the size, they can be up to 700 calories!!

If it sounds like a milkshake, treat it like dessert!! So a frozen mudslide or a chocolate banana monkey shake are both COCKTAILS AND DESSERT and remember, they have HUGE amounts of calories.

Meal Replacements

I get a lot of questions about meal replacement shakes and to be honest, I have mixed opinions.

IF!!! you have the discipline, they are awesome. You can get your protein and reduce your calorie intake to help you lose weight. If you are not disciplined, this can be rough.

The BEST (!!!!!) protein shake on the market that i LOVE is Amplify! You can get it from GNC but not from the GNC in the mall (which is NOT a Gold’s Gym Business partner). The GNC is Villa Rica as well as MANY of the others in the area are business partners (you will receive a 10% discount by shopping at these GNCs and they are the ONLY ones who carry Amplify!)

Smoking —– It is just BAD

If you smoke, you should quit. Smoking affects your health SO BADLY in sooo many ways. Look at it this way. There are so many people who are sick and unhealthy and have no way to reduce their risk factors (age, family history,etc) but YOU DO IF YOU SMOKE!!! Just quit and reduce your chances of DYING from stroke, heart attack, hypertension, diabetes, infections and sooo many other diseases.
